"i used it to fill the space left in the dash after removing the stock cd player from a 1995 Mustang. I am using it as a storage area and not as a sleeve to insert a new radio head unit. At the price of 65.00 to 75.00 for the actual unit that came in the Mustang to fill that opening this works well at a much lower price."

"The stereo installer who put the DIN style radio/CD in my newly purchased old (1973) Corvette apparently used a dull chainsaw and sledge hammer as his primary tools. I was able to remove the gauge cluster binacle, clean up the carnage, and use the FP306 to remount the DIN receiver bracket in the correct location. Be advised that it is set up for both the old style radio with knobs and the newer style DIN format and requires trimming for the DIN unit. It is clearly indicated where to cut which helps a bunch. Once installed, it fits the compound curves and angles of the C3 Corvette binacle nicely. It's a much better alternative than spending $200.00 to purchase another dash cluster to use with a DIN style sound system. Good Luck, mardyn"
