"Excellent product. For the 54 Chevy truck it does require modification: cut off 1 an1/8 inches of the front of the mounting flange and drill new 9/16 inch holes. Reason is there is not enough frame to mount to due to leaf spring rear attachment fittings riveted to frame. The only tool needed is a metal cut-off tool or a hack saw. You have to have the drill anyway. No one else makes a hitch to fit the is truck."

"Easy to install in short amount of time, tops 30 - 40 minutes. Provided you have all the required tools. Be sure to have a 22mm socket for the bolts that will secure the trailer hitch to the vehicle (05' Xterra) frame."

"Hitch was advertised for correct vehicle BUT didn't mention that part number was for a hitch that REPLACED a factory hitch. There were no threaded holes in the frame as indicated. I had to buy metric nuts and weld "handles" on them to reach into the frame so I could bolt it on. The system of carriage bolts and plates should be replaced with "L" bolts so you don't have to thread wires through the frame. TIP: when threading the wires through the frame stick a piece of tape on the end of the wire so you can see it at the hole and pull the wire through with needle-nose pliers. Overall, a very nice hitch."
"The hitch was quick and easy to install. I have used it a few times and so far I have had no problems. I use my Subaru to pull a 7x4 small utility trailer and a small camping trailer."
