Great cover & great JC Service

Pros: **** Good quality for the $$$ ****
Cons: Installing with a bed liner
" I purchased this cover from JC on the Web after reading the reviews. I do agree with most of the reviews and think it is a great value for the money. I like the “peel and seal” as it makes for a very tight connection. I think the directions could use a little embellishing. If it was not for the factory bed liner in ‘04 Dakota I think the installation would have taken 20 minutes if that. If you have a bed liner, plan on some extra time for the install. You will need to carefully measure out where the hold down clamps are located before you cut the bed liner. The directions call for a cut 1-1/8” X 3”. I found a speed bore and hack saw or utility knife (new blade) did the job nicely. If I could offer Lund an improvement I would suggest they include a template for the opening and suggest use of a white sharpie or paint marker to outline the cut. This certainly would have shaved some time off the job. The clamps are very precise and my bed liner covered the bed rails and needed to be cut flush to the actual sheet metal of the rail to fit. Once I worked out the first one, the rest were a breeze. The thing that I find best is what appears to be added MPG. I have not figured out how much but I can say for certain that I’ve consumed less gas driving my regular commute this past week. I’ll update my review after averaging a couple of tanks. Overall I would highly recommend this unit. "

Looks great

Pros: Looks, fit, value for the money
Cons: Wrong size bulkhead bolts, wrong size allen wrench included
" I bought this cover for my 2010 Toyota Tundra. It took about 10 days to arrive but with the holidays in play--not too bad. As this was my first attempt at installing a tonneau cover it took longer than the instructions indicated but once I got going it went pretty smoothly. The only real hang up was the very first step of installing the bulkhead piece. One of the pre-drilled holes in the piece didn't line up right and I had to re-drill that hole. Then the bolts provided were too long for that bulkhead strip. After replacing the bolts with shorter ones the rest of the installation went well except for the minor annoyance of them including the wrong sized allen wrench to tighten the clamps with. I liked how the clamps slid perfectly into the rails already on the truck. I was concern about how the frame would work with my bed liner but the fit is perfect! This cover looks great and I was impressed with how easily it sealed even with temperatures in the teens. I can't wait to get out on the road tomorrow and see how it performs in day-to-day usage. "

Not up to par

Pros: Correct fit, easy to install
Cons: Difficult to roll up, difficult to re-close
" I put this cover on my 2009 Nissan Frontier. If you plan on leaving the bed of your truck covered all the time, this is a fine tonneau cover. But if you have to open it up often, and God forbid actually roll it up, there are better options on the market. The locking mechanism is cumbersome compared to the OEM cover I had on my last truck, a Dodge Ram. The stiff side locking rails make this cover a real pain to roll up. Look for help from a neighbor. When it is below freezing, forget about rolling it up at all. Now that winter is here in New England I just crawl into the bed, loosen the bolts, and take the whole thing off frame and all. "
