Weatherstripping is not made to GM specs & leaks.

I purchased this weatherstripping to replace the original on a 2003 Chevy extended cab pickup. The Fairchild weatherstripping is made with a larger diameter tube that contacts between the body and door than the original. This makes the doors almost impossible to shut and results in water leaks between the rear door and front door. I ended up ordering genuine GM weatherstripping and had no problems with installation or leaks.

Excellent product but a word of caution!

This new drivers door weatherstrip was a perfect fit replacement for the entire opening on my '87 Dodge Ram with about 8" to spare. The only drawback is that with a perfectly aligned door the hollow tubing of the weatherstrip is airtight and resists being able to close the door without slamming it. To fix that problem there should be small (1/16") holes every 12" along the entire length to allow the release of compressed air within the strip when the door is closed.
